Three Dead After Vehicle Rear-Ends Semi-Truck in San Bernardino
In September of 2024, a four-vehicle crash was reported in San Bernardino. The accident claimed the lives of three people while sending at least 2 to the hospital, and it began when a passenger vehicle impacted the rear of a parked semi-truck. The Highway Patrol says a Toyota Corolla was heading down the 215 Freeway when it veered into the shoulder and impacted the semi-truck. Next, the vehicle veered back into traffic and collided with a second car.
This impact immobilized the Corolla, leaving it sitting in the middle of the highway. Finally, it was struck by a pickup truck. During these multiple impacts, two women were ejected from the Corolla while a third remained inside. All three occupants died as a result of the crash. The drivers of all three other vehicles were injured but will make full recoveries.
