In most General Commercial Liability insurance policies, the following exclusions are included.
When customers or vendors are injured or property damaged as a result of your company’s negligence, you can count on coverage A. Some examples of possible exclusions from Legal Founders include:
Damage or Injuries that are expected or intended.
In most cases, damage to property or bodily injury caused by an insured intentionally is not covered.
Contractual Liability.
An insured who is held liable for damages because the Insured assumed the liability of another in a contract or agreement is not covered for bodily injury or property damage.
Liquor Liability.
As long as the named insured is not engaged in the business of supplying alcohol, the CGL does not cover any injuries or damage to property caused by the alcohol.
Workers’ Compensation and Unemployment Insurance are included in this package.
Generally, Worker’s Compensation and Unemployment Insurance policies, not CGL, cover statutory benefits and unemployment insurance taxes that any insured must pay.
Pollution.
For bodily injury caused by pollution from the premises, CGL does not cover it. This is true regardless of how quickly or slowly pollutants were released or where they were released from. It’s also worth noting that pollution cleanup costs are not covered by insurance.
